The 2026 Joint Block Seminar of the IRTG will take place from Monday, February 23 to Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Saarland University.
Organizer is Friedrich Günther (Saarland University).
Topis:
- Basics of and classical notation for smooth manifolds
- Basics of Riemann surfaces
- Correspondence between compact Riemann surfaces and smooth projective curves
- From translation surface to Teichmüller curve
There is no special background required.
Accomodation:
Twenty places have been reserved in the Saarland Football Association’s accommodation. Single rooms are available.. Anyone interested is welcome to contact Friedrich Günther by December 1st.
The block seminar will take place on the Saarbrücken campus so that blackboards are available.
