Joint Block Seminar 2025 on Algebraic Geometry

The 2025 Joint Block Seminar of the IRTG will take place from Monday, September 1 to Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Saarland University.

Organizer is Friedrich Günther (Saarland University).

Topis:

  • Basics of and classical notation for smooth manifolds
  • Basics of Riemann surfaces
  • Correspondence between compact Riemann surfaces and smooth projective curves
  • From translation surface to Teichmüller curve

Accomodation:

Twenty places have been reserved in the Saarland Football Association’s accommodation. Single rooms are available. The rooms are booked so that you can already sleep on-site from August 31 to September 1. Anyone interested is welcome to contact Friedrich Günther.

The block seminar will take place on the Saarbrücken campus so that blackboards can be available.
